  1. Hi, I need to fit a 100mm extractor fan to take air from a solar hot air panel and push air into the building. Also required is a temperature controller to switch on the fan when the solar air is say above 20 degrees centigrade, plus on/off switch.
Can you recommend items to achieve this.
    Yours sincerely,
    Alan Willis

    1. Presuming that you are talking about an indoors solution – One solution would be if you use an Airflow 4″ inline fan(100mm) – see the Airflow AV100 – plus the relevant ducting and grills that go with them. As far as the temperature controls, you can use the RS20(a heat-cool, depending on how you wire it up, you have the option of either cooling or heating) or RS10(to be used when you want to heat up the place).
On the other hand, Usually, a solar hot air panel comes with all the necessary components to be used/transmitted indoors – or you can purchase from the manufacturer itself these fittings.

Is this what you were looking for?

  2. I have been told by an electrician that he is prohibited by the current regs to fit a hole in the wall extractor fan above the electric hob in my domestic kitchen.

    Could you please advise.

    1. Hello Josephine, in general it is the electricians themselves who know the current regulations. We would recommend you would ask either another builder or another electrician – we are simply “posting the rules and regulations” and “selling the electrical devices”; we are not trained or specialized in these matters so that we may offer you an official pertinent advice. We apologize for the inconvenience.

  3. Hi
Can the Manrose WF100 be supplied as a ‘standard’ with out a pull cord switch or if not can the pull cord switch be simply by passed to a remote switch. Also what depth of double glazing unit will the fan unit accept.

    Thanks
