Forbes and Lomax is world renown for the beautiful design of their wiring devices and for the “invention of the invisible lightswitch“. They specialize in high quality flat plates switches, sockets, dolly switches, rotary dimmers, button dimmers, and all kinds of combination range wiring accessories. What not many people know though is that Forbes & Lomax manufactures also European Sockets!
European Sockets from Forbes & Lomax
The European sockets from Forbes and Lomax are available also in all finishes: invisible plate, stainless steel, antique bronze, painted white, unlacquered brass, and nickel silver.
As with all the other Forbes & Lomax sockets, they sit flush to the wall and come with white or black inserts. All the devices in the European sockets range must be installed into British Standard wall boxes which must be recessed into the wall by 6mm.
If you want to keep the color of the wall, you can use the painted sockets – for painted walls it is recommended to use the Painted Socket range, which are totally flush to the wall and come etch-primed ready for painting. Below we are introducing some of the most popular Forbes and Lomax European sockets.
